I Shot Marvin in the Face - Pulp Fiction (11/12) Movie CLIP (1994) HD
- Close up- used to show facial expressions when reacting to what the other character has said. -Shot-reverse-shot- used to show the 2 people talking and again show their reactions to what they are saying, its effective as we get to see whats happening faster. -mid shot- used to show more of the characters and the scene. -zoom- used to show the outcome of what has just happening without making it clear that the camera has changed positions. -long shot- used to show the outside of the car after the shot, showing clearly whats just happened. Visual Code -clothing- era appropriate clothing helps to show when the film was set if/ when viewed later in time. -gesture- showing how manic they both our waving the gun after 'shooting Marvin in the face' -technique- the used of a dull these camera shots and the visual code helps to further narrate the story -colour- the colour pallet is fairly bland until the use of red (blood) this makes the scene seem more dangerous as a man has just been killed 'on accident' -iconography- the overall use of iconography helps show us who the characters are and how the react to certain situations. Audio Codes -Sound effects- the gun shot to show what has just happened -music- turned off to hear the dialogue as its important at the time to hear what is being said. -narration- no narration to also hear what is being said.
