In order to create different colours in a scene a common method is to place coloured gells over the camera lens. This method can be fairly unreliable as it can create dips in colour consistency. Another method is to trick the camera into thinking that the new colour is the natural colour of the environment and the camera will keep that colour until it is changed or reset.
White balance (WB) is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects which appear white in person are rendered white in your photo.

1. Place on of the gells over the camera lens
2. Go into the camera settings, in settings find the white balance settings
3. Hold the jell in place till the wb as finished setting
4. Take away the gells
5. The camera should now show a warmer or cooler colour depending on what jell you used
